When you upgrade to a new Subaru, you gain many helpful features to simplify your daily driving experience in Orlando. One feature that some models are equipped with is Subaru HomeLink®, a system that enables a seamless home-to-car connection. Integrated into the rearview mirror, Subaru HomeLink® supports several functions, including the ability to connect the system to your garage door. When leaving or returning home to Altamonte Springs, you can simply push a button on HomeLink® to open and close your garage.

Subaru HomeLink® Garage Door Opener Pairing Steps
Even if you don't have any experience, you can learn how to sync a garage door opener with a Subaru in just a few minutes. Follow these steps to program your Subaru garage door opener easily:
- Press and release the HomeLink® button that you'd like to program.
- When the orange light on your mirror flashes, hold your current garage door remote within three inches of the button that you are programming.
- Press and hold the remote button until the HomeLink® light changes to green.
- Press the HomeLink® button that you are programming and check the indicator light. If the light has turned green and is not flashing, you have successfully programmed the Subaru HomeLink® garage door opener. If the light is flashing, you'll need to hold the HomeLink® button until the light stops flashing. Repeat three times.
Program a Subaru Garage Door Opener: Alternate Method
Although these steps work for many different garage door openers in the Lake Mary area, some garage door units use a different method requiring you to find a helper to press a "Learn" button on the unit itself:
- Have your helper press the "Learn" button on the garage door mechanism while the garage door is open.
- Simultaneously press the HomeLink® button three times for two seconds each time.
- If your syncing is successful, your garage door will close after the third press.
This should complete your Subaru HomeLink® garage door opener sync. If you have additional questions, consult your owner's manual or contact our service department. We'd be happy to help!
